Medusa

A spatial design project

Folding paper, hundreds of times in the same way, for hours. Metamorphosing paper: Weaving the modular folds together into strands, repetition creates movement, the paper begins to develop a life of its own. Biomorphic structures enclose, flow around, and entwine. Forming into tentacles that stream, meander, and proliferate.

In constant transformations, the organism explores its physicality, approaches in condensations, dissolves into bulges, and develops into a mystical being. Circling around itself, the memory of a jellyfish —Medusa — floats in space.
