RE: INTERPRETED

This project seeks to explore how elements of the Russian traditional costume can be reimagined by a representative of the Russian culture using contemporary shapes and materials, particularly engaging elements of deconstruction.

Mixed media. Fashion design, photography, graphic design.


Idea: create a number of garment pieces made of modern materials using folk patterns and forms.

Patterns used: Southern Russia, Tula region, Russia.

Materials: synthetiсs, silicone, thread, velvet, beads, metal, glue, cotton, PVC.

Techniques: sewing, glueing, thread/ bead embroiodery.
